Thanks to our sponsors and participants for making Rural Health Day 2010 a success. We were glad to have providers, educators, administrators, legislators, students, and advocates from across the state in the Capitol to meet with legislators. We were fortunate to have Speaker of the House David Ralston, and Representatives Jay Shaw and Debbie Buckner speak, along with GRHA member Pat Gardner attending.

Representative Jay Shaw and Senator Cecil Staton sponsored resolutions recognizing the work that GRHA and our members do to benefit rural communities. We also had a few minutes to speak with Governor Perdue following a picture in the North Wing of the Capitol.
